The ‘Shroom Dip
The 'Shroom Dip is a tasty way to add mushroom extracts plus other beneficial ingredients to your diet. This is the standard formula that I use but it can be "tweaked" to suit your needs. The dip is best served with raw carrot slices (as raw carrots powerfully support intestinal health) but it can be used with other vegetables as well such a cucumbers or zucchini.
2-4 heaping Tbs — Nutritional Yeast (Non-fortified)
2-4 heaping Tbs — Tocotrienol Powder … natural Vitamin E … adds flavor and texture
1 heaping tsp — Collagen Peptides … from grass-fed cows
1 heaping tsp — Beef Gelatin Powder
½ tsp — Kelp Powder
1 tsp — Maca Powder
1 tsp — Moringa Leaf Powder
1-2 capsules — Bioperine, to aid digestion
Pinch — Salt … rock salt
Pinch — Cayenne powder, for heat
3 Tablespoons of a mushroom extract blend or use individual extracts:
2-3 tsp — Lion’s Mane mushroom extract
1-2 tsp — Cordyceps mushroom extract
1-2 tsp — Red Reishi mushroom extract
1-2 tsp — Chaga mushroom extract.
1 tsp — L-Glysine … adds protein
1-2 Tbs — Whey Protein Powder, from grass-fed cows … adds protein
1 tsp — Red Raspberry Seed Powder … adds ellagalic acid
1 Tbs. — MCT oil … use oil or powder form
1 tsp — Zach Bush’s Ion Gut Support. Expensive but powerful
2-3 caps — Probiotics, with salivarius
1 tsp — Camu camu powder or acerola powder … adds Vitamin C
500 mg — Bromelain, 3000 gdu/gram … helps digestion
1 tsp. — Diatomaceous Earth (DE) … anti-parasitic
1 tsp — Organic Olive Oil
1 tsp. — Evening primrose oil / Black seed oil / Cod liver oil (Rosita’s)
2-4oz — Organic Sour Cream (Horizon brand uses all cream, without skim milk)
2-3 oz — Water … distilled, filtered, or spring
Add all dry ingredients together in a bowl and mix. Then mix in enough water to create a thick paste. Then add in olive oil, MCT oil, and sour cream. Serve with sliced carrots or other vegetables.
I use all the ingredients listed above. It takes me about five minutes to prepare the mixture and slice the vegetables. For taste and texture I usually cut up chunks of cheese and add a small piece each time I dip out the mixture on the carrot slice. I have this for lunch almost every day.
Note: Use organic when possible. Many of the ingredients can be obtained from Microingredients, Terrasoul, Anthony’s, etc. You can add additional ingredients or make substitutions. If a particular ingredient alters the taste to your disliking, use less or eliminate. If you take Vitamin D, which is fat soluble, you can squeeze it in as well.
